Ronan MacManus
Ronan MacManus is a London-Irish singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
Ronan's music is heartfelt and honest, and his lyrics often draw on his own personal experiences and family history. He has kept busy gigging constantly on the London music scene and has continued to write, always pushing the boundaries of his sound and exploring new musical territories.
Ronan's music is heavily influenced by his Irish heritage, and he combines traditional Irish music with folk, punk, and rock influences to create a unique sound that is all his own. He has been the frontman of London Irish folk rock band, The BibleCodeSundays, with whom he has released four studio albums. He has also released two solo albums, Strawberry Hill (2010) and Elephant In The Room (2014), the latter of which was written in collaboration with his brother, Ruairi. In addition to his solo work, Ronan has also recorded an EP, War on Peace (2013), and 2 albums with Brand New Zeros with their eponymous debut LP (2015) & Back to Zero (2021), which was built around his songwriting partnership with guitarist Luke Dolan.
Born into a musical family in West London, Ronan was surrounded by music from a young age. His father, Ross MacManus, was a singer with Joe Loss and his orchestra, and all four of his brothers are talented musicians too. The eldest of these brothers is the legendary singer-songwriter, Elvis Costello.
